Viparis Parc des expositions Porte de Versailles Paris (2019)
ArtBliss is curator of the project for Viparis, in the context of the realization of the monumental sculpture by Arne Quinze under the name "The Beautiful Dreamer" at Porte de Versailles Paris.
In 2015, Viparis launched a vast modernisation programme for Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, which is due to be completed in 2024.
The aim is to make it a model of sustainable development, a business centre as well as a place to live. For this ambitious project, Viparis has called on four renowned architects: Dominique Perrault, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Christian de Portzamparc and Jean Nouvel.
"We are very proud to welcome Arne Quinze's first ever permanent work in November, which will echo our efforts to encourage the greening of the site.
We have lost the dialogue with nature, which has created grey and uninteresting public spaces. The Beautiful Dreamer Arne Quinze's 'The Beautiful Dreamer' seeks to remedy this. With 'The Beautiful Dreamer', Arne Quinze has captured the beauty of nature and brought it back to the city to remind us of its fascinating diversity.
Quinze tries to convey absolute beauty. Sculpting his works in an abstract surrealist way to dialogue with his visitors by forcing them to fill the image with their own imagination.
Developed to inspire passers-by, "the beautiful dreamer" is Quinze's tribute to the beauty of nature.
